OUR WATER PROJECT

The Mission, Peacemaking and Justice Committee has been designated 5% of our Capital Campaign to do a mission project. The Committee decided to work with Living Waters for the World to try to partner with one or two towns in an international location to provide clean, safe drinking water to communities in need. In addition we hope to incorporate a building project with our Senior Highs at or near the same location.

Living Waters for the World (www.livingwatersfortheworld.org) “trains and equips mission teams to share the gift of clean sustainable water with communities in need”. The Mission of LWFW is “to serve as a resource to churches of all denominations, civic organizations and others in mission, enabling them to provide clean water to their partners in need”. LWFW is the global mission resource of the Synod of Living Waters (Presbyterian Church USA).

If you are interested in participating in the project please contact Su Fall or Patrice Gensel.

"The Green Corner"
Sustainability...

The most widely quoted definition of sustainability is the "Brundtland definition" of the 1987 Report of the World Commission on Environment and Development. Sustainability means "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." (EPA's Region 10 Sustainability Web site provides more information on definitions and history of "Sustainability.")

Helping Others

We are a red wagon congregation for Crisis Ministry in Trenton and Princeton, collecting canned goods for local families and individuals in need .  We also collect canned goods for TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen). These are ongoing projects.
